Formed in 1985, Red Wedge was a group of musicians (fronted by Billy Bragg, Paul Weller and Jimmy Somerville) who wanted to engage with young voters in order to garner more support for Labour ahead of the 1987 General Election, and in 86 they held a number of tours. The tour featured The Style Council, The Communards, Junior Giscombe, Lorna Lee and Jerry Dammers. Guest appearances were also made by Madness, The The, Heaven 17, Bananarama, Prefab Sprout, Elvis Costello, Gary Kemp, Tom Robinson, Sade, The Beat, Lloyd Cole, The Blow Monkeyz, Jools & The Smiths. Following the Conservatives' successful campaign in 1987, many musicians moved away from the project and eventually Red Wedge was formally disbanded in 1990. Relive a classic period of great music with this exclusive design!

Cosh The Driver (As Worn By Steve Jones, Sex Pistols) Original 70's Seditionaries Design T-Shirt

A reference to the Great Train Robbery... from the man involved! This design, as worn by Steve Jones (one of the remaining members of the Sex Pistols at the time) references the original title to the song that would become "No One Is Innocent", which featured vocals from Ronnie Biggs - who was involved in the robbery in 1963. The title was in reference to the beating given to the train driver during the robbery, however the record label turned this down, hence the title we know it as today.
