An idea that was meant to lead to a one-off gig turned out to become so much more! A concert which planned to bring both black and white fans of music together in order to discourage young people from embracing racism - a rising concern in the mid-late 1970s with racially aggravated assaults and support for the far-right National Front growing, alongside controversial and offensive comments from the likes of Eric Clapton and David Bowie (though Bowie would apologise for his comments and denounce them later, and making a stand for racial equality in his career following this). Eventually this would extend to many concerts and gigs, as well as carnivals and spread outside of the UK. This product features the authentic design from the original Rock Against Racism gig from 1976. A must-have for any music lover!
