From a gig in April 1975, John Lennon wore this hand-drawn RPS (Record Plant Studios) logo design for an event saluting Lew Grade. Also performing at the same event were both Tom Jones and Julie Andrews. It would turn out to be the final stage appearance for Lennon, who wouldn't perform publicly again. He would go on a hiatus for the next 5 years, but was killed not long after releasing new music. A must-have for John Lennon and Beatles fans!

Formed in 1985, Red Wedge was a group of musicians (fronted by Billy Bragg, Paul Weller and Jimmy Somerville) who wanted to engage with young voters in order to garner more support for Labour ahead of the 1987 General Election, and in 86 they held a number of tours. The tour featured The Style Council, The Communards, Junior Giscombe, Lorna Lee and Jerry Dammers. Guest appearances were also made by Madness, The The, Heaven 17, Bananarama, Prefab Sprout, Elvis Costello, Gary Kemp, Tom Robinson, Sade, The Beat, Lloyd Cole, The Blow Monkeyz, Jools & The Smiths. Following the Conservatives' successful campaign in 1987, many musicians moved away from the project and eventually Red Wedge was formally disbanded in 1990. The title was in reference to the beating given to the train driver during the robbery, however the record label turned this down, hence the title we know it as today.
