Glad To Be Gay Organic Womens Slim Fit T-Shirt

An anthem for British gay people! "(Sing If You're) Glad To Be Gay" was a 1978 single by the Tom Robinson Band, which came as part of a 4-track EP Rising Free that reached #18 in the UK charts. Due to society's viewpoints towards gay people at the time, the song - despite being the most popular from the EP - was refused to be played by the BBC on their chart show, as they chose another track instead. The song criticises the British Police as well as calling out hypocrisies such as Gay News being prosecuted for obscenities despite the existence of Playboy and the (at the time) Page 3 models in tabloid newspapers, among highlighting the dangers of homophobia and making a plea of support for the LGBT community. Premium organic garment, ethically sourced and environmentally friendly. A classic track with a wonderful message, well ahead of its time - a must-have for any fan of this record!
