Harris Milstead was an American actor and singer who embraced the countercultural scene of the 1960's, and became a drag queen by the stage name "Divine" - given to him by longtime friend John Waters, who also provided the tagline "the most beautiful woman in the world, almost". He was described by People Magazine as "Drag Queen of the Century", and also performed a number of disco hits in his career too.
