1977 was not only the year Joe Strummer's band hit the big time, but it was also the year they released their self-titled debut album - and they even had a song called "1977" too!

Featuring from the song "God Save The Queen", the refrain ends on those two words repeating.
The song was once listed in 2010 as one of the top 10 most controversial songs of all time, due to its lyrics against the monarchy.
To this day, there's still a question regarding its chart position as it reached #2 in 1977, despite an NME chart placing it at #1.
For those with "no future", get this today!

A classic design, as worn by Pink Floyd's David Gilmour in 1977!
Also well known as one of Sir Bruce Forsyth's many catchphrases, it was especially popular around this time when Brucey hosted the Generation Game.
The statement Gilmour was making with this design was - knowing the nature of Pink Floyd - most likely an ironic one!
Perfect for any David Gilmour, Pink Floyd or Bruce Forsyth fan!

When a shopping street is big enough to have a song about it!
The Jam sung about Carnaby Street in 1977, as the B-Side to the single "All Around The World" which reached #13 in the UK chart.
Carnaby Street became most notable for its rise in popularity for 1960's Swinging London - being one of the "coolest" places to be.
Funnily enough - though it's The Jam who perform the song, a green plaque in Carnaby Street itself was erected for another Mod group - The Small Faces!
The design is a traditional London street sign style.
This is one for the Mod crew and Jam fans!

Aha!
A brilliant and fun festive sweatshirt featuring Steve Coogan's legendary comedy character Alan Partridge, with a pun off his short-lived spoof chat show "Knowing Me, Knowing You With Alan Partridge" (the name of which in turn is based off the ABBA track from 1977). The show ran for 6 episodes in 1994, and had a Christmas special the following year called "Knowing Me, Knowing Yule".
A great Christmas gift for a loved one - or for yourself at the Christmas parties!

This exclusive design features the logo of the group's debut single "Oh Bondage! Up Yours!" from 1977 - while it didn't chart in the UK, it was the result of the group getting signed to a recording label out of it!
A must-have for true X-Ray Spex fans!

Wild nights, indeed!
This exclusive design features a style inspired by the AC/DC 1977 single "Whole Lotta Rosie", which would have to wait until 1980 to reach #36 in the UK charts.
Bon Scott wrote the song in tribute to a woman he met and spent the night with. Having met her in the evening and telling Scott she'd slept with 28 famous people that month, he recalled waking up the next morning and spotting Rosie whisper to her friend "29!".
The woman in question sadly passed away aged just 22 in 1979, and Scott just a year later at 33.
A brilliant design for AC/DC fans!
