T-Shirt maintenance tips from TShirtGrill

We’ve all been there. You’ve just ordered the perfect printed t-shirt from some far-flung international seller, you’ve endured the 4-week shipping time and extortionate delivery costs, you pop the new item in the laundry and the design becomes cracked and intelligible. Everyone has been there and the frustration can be maddening, that’s why here at TShirtGrill, we’re going to provide you with a number of handy tips so that you can avoid this nightmarish scenario from happening to you ever again.

Buy quality now and save in the long run.

You really do get what you pay for when it comes to the quality and lifespan of printed tees, spending peanuts on novelty t-shirts for a stag-party might work, but if you want something that’s going to look fresh after life has taken its toll, you’re going to need to dig a little deeper. Don’t worry, though, here at TShirtGrill, we strive to provide you with the best of both worlds, combining premium materials and manufacturing with excellent prices, representing value for money however you choose to look at it. Don’t let your world turn upside-down by turning t-shirts inside-out

This applies to both washing and if you absolutely must, ironing. Of course, no t-shirt is going to look as pristine as it did prior to a hundred washes, but you can follow this simple advice on laundry day to slow down the aging process and reduce gradual damage caused by a combination of heat and cleaning.

Then again, that aged look appeals to many, and TShirtGrill also caters to those tastes, with our Vintage wash T-Shirt selection.

Let it all hang out.

Take advantage of a brisk wind, clear sky and a washing line – and don’t procrastinate, this should be done as soon as your beloved t-shirts are out of the washing machine. The key is to maximise the circulation of air, we’d recommend a rotating washing line if possible so that you don’t have to rotate items of clothing manually halfway through the drying process. If space is a premium for you, you might want to consider investing in a sturdy drying rack that can be set-up in a whole host of rooms and relocated when required.

If you find yourself in a hurry, and it’s wet and windy outside, feel free to rely on the tumble-dryer, but don’t opt for anything but the lowest heat setting. Despite being fast and convenient, high-heat is not the friend of a printed t-shirt or your electricity bill.
